HOP
is conducting activities (Oct. 2002) against Speaker Casper Taylor to
un-elect him. Some of these actions involve distributing
literature to Mr. Taylor's district. The pictures show Mark
Wilson and Phil Lee in front of the local Cumberland newspaper.
We gave the Times-News samples of our literature, identified
ourselves, told them we were not connected with the Myers campaign
and asked for advertising rates.
In an advertisement, Mr. Taylor has whined to his constituents that
"anonymous cowards trespass on your property in the middle of the
night." These are just more lies from Mr. Taylor --
we're not anonymous (see the signs around our neck),
it is the middle of the day, and we'll be happy to surrender to any
charge of trespass that Mr. Taylor cares to bring. We can use the
money from a false arrest suit.
HOP distributes a card printed on both sides of a page.
One side was printed to remind people the NRA called him a
Pawn of HCI and the other side from
Gang of Five Photo. We also distributed a half page
printed on both sides (Need MicroSoft Word or viewer) on Taylor's
support for
Felon Voting and the failure of his
Leadership. The felon voting design was originated by DrZox of the TRT and is popular with the Potomac Sportsman Club of Cumberland.
You can just make out the flyer posted on the inner door of that club, but a better view is
here.
HOP mailed 1,000 cards (front, back) to voters in Cumberland. A person (SR), wishing to remain anonymous, printed and mailed another 1,100 of the same card. HOP then added another 200 card mailing to finish the effort.
MPFO has joined the fray against Cas Taylor by providing money for a billboard, radio commercials, and a mailing.
The billboard, is located on Rt. 40 just north of Cumberland.
Associated Gun Clubs (AGC) of Baltimore of Baltimore has generously funded two very large ads in the Cumberland Times-News
on Sunday and Monday before the election (3 & 4 November).

HOP
protested Senator Ferguson's Fundraiser at the
Morningside Inn on 9 August 2001. About 1 in 3 cars
stopped to accept
flipsides which the arriving supporters thought were
favorable literature. After Ed had completed his sign
and before the Deputy arrives, supporters asked Phil whether
the sign was serious (Phil played the good cop here to get the
literature accepted).
About 10 minutes after Ed deployed
the sign, the Deputy arrives and asks that we stay off the Inn
property. We ask the Deputy to identify the property line
so we can stand on county right of way. The Deputy
radios for the owner. 10 minutes later the owner arrives
and demands we leave because we are
creating a safety hazard which we do after 1 hour and
10 minutes of protest.
