During the past week much has been made of some women marching to demand that you support the Clinton/Gore assault on the Bill of Rights, particularly our right to own private arms. As your constituent, I urge you to do the opposite. Legislation which deprives me of the means to defend myself and my family will do nothing to make these women any safer, despite their hysterical rhetoric to the contrary. The Bill of Rights is the most simple, eloquent, important piece of legislature ever created for any people and it deserves our whole-hearted support.
