We see signs everywhere that the junk statistics of the gun-control proponents are being rejected by the general population. So, now they are trying to sell a safety message.

Keep guns out of everyone's hands and we will all be safer is the message of HCI or the Million Moms March. What a silly message.

I can't speak for one of those Moms, but I have no wish to confront a young and vigorous burgler in my home with empty hands (or a crazy person with a pitchfork as cost two children their lives in California recently). Not being a Navy seal, being older, slower, and weaker than I was at age 30 (not to mention more fragile from bone loss), I would continue to keep loaded firearms for confrontations even if these thugs could not get firearms.

HCI and the Moms are trying to equate peaceful gun owners with bad guys. No way, no how are they equivalent. The attempt of HCI and the Moms to devise a "moderate" message has failed. The nanny Nazi crowd should understand that the violence problem in America does not come from decent citizens owning guns. It comes from our tolerance of bad guys -- all else is smoke screen.
