EXTRA NOTEWORTHY IN 1996
Michael Collins:

The main sponsor of legislation SB.693 to exempt the attendance at 'special events' from disclosure requirements for legislators.

Cosponsor of legislation SB.464 to define reasonable fees for public
information.

As a member of the Economic and Environmental Affairs Committee, Senator Collins helped to kill legislation to require occupation and employer disclosure for $250+ donors (SB.266), ensuring it would not
reach the full Senate for a vote.

Tried unsuccefully to kill another bill to fill legislative vacancies by election rather than by political appointment (SB.420).
