One More Lie

Jim Purtilo claims in a posting dated 9/4/06: “AS WE WROTE BEFORE, THIS IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF DWYER TRYING TO DECEIVE PEOPLE AROUND HIM!“ implying that Delegate Dwyer was not forthright to his supporters about where he was during the recent special session of the Maryland Legislature.

What Del. Dwyer told me back at the end of July about his absence is given below in a segment of a message he sent out to his supporters. What he said to me and to thousands of others you can read for yourself.

If you go to Jim Purtilo’s attack page, you will be putting money into his pocket – he has ads on his web page. Maybe he is creating this controversy for the money. Maybe there isn’t enough money in going after a person who votes to pass gun control measures such as his buddies Delegates Bohanan, Cane and Sophocleus who helped pass Glendening’s "Responsible Gun Safety Act of 2000". I guess there is no profit in attacking the grabbers – instead he endorses them.

Now, the question is where does that money go? For that matter, where does the money go that gunnies give him?

June 20, 2006 Del. Dwyer returns with the high school class

Jim Purtilo is trying to make a federal case out of nothing – Don Dwyer hasn’t tried to deceive anybody – and Jim Purtilo could have found out what Del. Dwyer was saying by asking for information and he could have checked facts. But that would have been inconvenient for the fable he wanted to tell.

Anyone wonder why Jim Purtilo isn’t spending this time to go after Neil Quinter or some other gun grabber?
